WINDSOR CHARTER TOWNSHIP BOARD OF TRUSTEES

REGULAR MEETING – JUNE 8, 2010

MEETING ROOM – 7:30 P.M.

                                                                                

Meeting was called to order by Supervisor Sue Butler with the Pledge of Allegiance.

Present: Butler, Towsley, Blust, Blair, Kline, Marsh

Absent: Myers

Kline moved and Marsh seconded to approve the agenda as presented.  Carried

unanimously.

Blair moved and Blust seconded to approve the consent agenda which consists of

 minutes of previous meeting, treasurer’s report and general fund bills (vouchers

19731-19780 & 22842-22894) which is a total of $ 86589.61.  Carried unanimously.

Sgt. Doug Burkhardt, Eaton County Sheriff Department, reported that we have had 125

 calls with 79 being traffic in the past two weeks.

Blair gave report from Planning Commission and Sewer Board.

Chief Miller gave report from Emergency Service Department.

Supervisor Butler reported that the DDA letters have been sent, the notices posted and

things are ready for the public hearing at our next meeting.

Assessor Preston gave update from his department.

Towsley moved and Marsh seconded to cast our vote for Bamber for the Par Plan

 Board of Directors.  Carried unanimously.

Supervisor Butler gave an update on what she had learned about the property on Eugene.

 There is nothing that the Township can do except ask for the tire to be removed.  She has

talked to the attorney, planner and Construction code office.   Sgt. Burkhardt explained

 that the law that was referenced at the last meeting only allows jurisdictions to enact

 blight ordinances.

Heard that the house at Billwood and Creyts has been sold.

Towsley moved and Blair seconded to support Windsor Charter Township joining

 the Villages of Dimondale, Mulliken and Vermontville and City of Potterville for

an Eaton County Solid Waste grant to be used for a chipper to be shared by all

 units.  We will use it for cleaning up in our cemeteries and any other areas that

 are needed. Carried unanimously.

Discussion held on the listing of the Creyts Road property.  Further discussion will take

 place at the next meeting.

Towsley moved and Blust seconded to appoint Murray Marsh to the Board of

Appeals as the Township Board Representative and Kern Slucter as a resident

representative and Pat Lundberg moved to alternate.  Carried unanimously.

The information on the cemetery urns have not been received so no action at this time.

Tom Byerly, resident of Windsor Charter Township, introduced himself as a candidate

 for Probate Judge.

Roger Eakin introduced himself as a candidate for County Commission District # 10

 which is all of Windsor Charter Township except the SW corner.

With no further business Marsh moved and Blust seconded to adjourn the meeting.

 Carried unanimously.  Adjourned at 7:50 PM.
