WINDSOR CHARTER TOWNSHIP BOARD OF TRUSTEES

REGULAR MEETING – FEBRUARY 9, 2010

MEETING ROOM – 7:30 P.M.        

 

Meeting was called to order by Supervisor Sue Butler with the Pledge of Allegiance.

Present: Butler, Towsley, Blust, Blair, Kline, Myers

Absent: Marsh

 

Blair moved and Kline seconded to approve the agenda as presented.  Carried unanimously.

 

Blair moved and Kline seconded to approve the consent agenda which included the

minutes of previous meeting, treasurers report and general fund bills (vouchers

19459 -19551 & 22559 – 22665) totaling $ 181233.40.  Carried unanimously.

 

Supervisor Butler called the Public Hearing for the October 2009 Windsor Charter

Township Recreation Plan to order at 7:33 PM.  There were no comments from the

Public present or Board.

 

Public Hearing closed at 7:35 PM.

 

Sgt. Doug Burkhardt, Eaton County Sheriff Department, reported that we have had

200 calls in the past month with 143 being traffic related.  The year total for 2009 was 2927 incidents which includes all traffic stops.

 

Blair gave report from Planning Commission and Sewer Board.

 

Chief Miller gave report from Emergency Service Department. 

 

No DDA report.

 

Assessor Preston reported that the final assessment roll will be completed next

week and our taxable values and assessments will be down from the past year.

 

Trustee Myers gave report from the Movie Workshop he attended.  They are looking for pictures of areas of Eaton County (no people in them).

 

Clerk Towsley read a thank you from Al Surink for the Board’s support in his project of flood insurance.

 

Towsley offered and Blair supported the resolution to adopt the Windsor Charter

Township Recreation Plan.

Ayes: Myers, Towsley, Butler, Blust, Blair, Kline

Nays: none

Absent: Marsh

Resolution adopted 6-0.

 

Blair moved and Kline seconded to approve the 2010-2011 Sewer Budget as

presented.  Carried unanimously.

 

Towsley offered and Blair supported the Resolution to amend the general fee schedule which increases the monthly fee to $30/single family residential equivalent.

Ayes: Kline, Blair, Blust, Butler, Towsley, Myers

Nays: none

Absent: Marsh

Resolution adopted 6-0

 

With no further business Blust moved and Myers seconded to adjourn the meeting. Carried unanimously.  Adjourned at 8:08 PM
