WINDSOR CHARTER TOWNSHIP BOARD OF TRUSTEES

REGULAR MEETING – APRIL 28, 2009

MEETING ROOM – 7:30 P.M.

 

 

                                                                      

Meeting was called to order by Supervisor Sue Butler with the Pledge of Allegiance.

Present: Butler, Towsley, Blust,  Blair, Kline, Marsh, Myers

Absent: none

 

Towsley moved and Blust seconded to approve the agenda as amended with the

addition of Chloride and Don’s Truck Stop under New Business.  Carried

unanimously.

 

Blair moved and Kline seconded to approve the consent agenda which was the

minutes of the previous meeting.  Carried unanimously.

 

Blair gave report from Sewer Board, Planning Commission and Master Plan.

 

Miller gave report from Emergency Service Department.

 

Butler reported that she has received a notice that Broadstripe will not be issuing bonds

 or letters of credit.  She also received a letter about Tri County about updating the

Transportation plans and FEMA Bi-Annual Report.

 

Towsley reported that the tractor for cemetery will be under $22000 with the trade in.

 

Blust reported that we now have added Mercantile Bank to our portfolio.

 

Butler reported that we have 5 applications for assessor at this time.

 

Kern Slucter reviewed the map for the proposed DDA district.  There are 137 parcels

 with under 100 residents.  He is still looking into the need for a survey.

 

Blair moved and Marsh seconded to authorize two applications of chloride

with one in May and one in August and to share the cost of boarder roads

with Benton and Eaton Rapids Township.  Carried unanimously.

 

Discussion held on the closing of Don’s Truck Stop.  Butler will contact attorney

to see what legal actions we can take for fencing, Brownfield’s, sewer, taxes, etc.

 

Roger Rich asked about zoning enforcement.

 

Marlin Harding asked about wood burners and the smoke.

 

With no further business Marsh moved and Myers seconded to adjourn the

meeting.  Carried unanimously.  Adjourned at 8:25 PM.
