WINDSOR CHARTER TOWNSHIP BOARD OF TRUSTEES

REGULAR MEETING – APRIL 14, 2009

MEETING ROOM – 7:30 P.M.

 

                                                                                                           

Meeting was called to order by Supervisor Sue Butler with the Pledge of Allegiance.

Present: Butler, Towsley, Blust, Kline, Marsh, Myers

Absent: Blair

 

Towsley moved and Blust seconded to approve the agenda with theaddition of Memorial Day Parade under New Business.  Carried

unanimously.

 

Marsh moved and Kline seconded to approve the consent agenda which consists of the minutes of previous meeting, treasurer’s report and general fund bills (vouchers 18864-18930 & 21953-22023)totaling $ 106183.63.  Carried unanimously.

 

Towsley gave report from Planning Commission and Master Plan.

 

Towsley gave sheriff report that we have had 154 calls in the past three weeks with 99 being traffic related.

 

Miller gave report from Emergency Service Department.  Butler moved and Towsley seconded to appoint Ben Logue to Administrative Lt. and Jason Blackie and Rob Richardson to Fire Lt. Carried unanimously.

 

Butler reported that we have received several applications for the assessor position.

 

Kern Slucter gave progress report on the formation of the DDA.

 

Bill Long reported on the condition of the tractor, bucket and backhoe at the Cemetery. He has obtained two bids for a replacement. Myers moved Blust seconded to purchase the tractor from Janson Equipment of at a cost of around $28000 minus trade in and addition of 12 X 12 pads and 18” bucket. Carried unanimously.

 

Towsley moved and Blust seconded to transfer $28000 from Fund Balance to Cemetery Capital Outlay. Carried unanimously.

 

Towsley moved and Marsh seconded to send a No Thank you to the Sheriff Department in regards to obtaining a 40 hour deputy for the Township only due to the high cost. Carried unanimously.

 

Towsley moved and Marsh seconded to approve and participate in

the Memorial Day Parade. Carried unanimously.

 

No public comments.

 

With no further business Marsh moved and Blust seconded to adjourn the Meeting. Carried unanimously.  Adjourned at 8:02 PM.
