WINDSOR CHARTER TOWNSHIP BOARD OF TRUSTEES

REGULAR MEETING – MAY 27, 2008

MEETING ROOM – 7:30 P.M.

 

Meeting was called to order by Supervisor Art St. Clair with the Pledge of Allegiance.

Present: A. St. Clair, Towsley, J. Clair, Blair, Kline, Marsh, Slucter

Absent: none

J. St. Clair moved and Blair seconded to approve the agenda.  Carried unanimously.

Marsh moved and Kline seconded to approve the consent agenda which included the minutes of May 13th meeting.  Carried unanimously.

Sgt. Doug Burkhardt, Eaton County Sheriff Department, reported that we have had 151 calls in the past two weeks with 108 being traffic.   One B & E on Gunnell was reported.

Blair gave report from Planning Commission and Master Plan.  No sewer meeting in May.

Cribley gave report from Emergency Service Department.  Slucter moved and Marsh seconded to place Richard Sullivan back on the on call fire roster since returning from military duty.  Carried unanimously.

Phil Kline was recognized for being Grand Marshall of the Parade and honored by Lions Club.

Towsley moved and J. St. Clair seconded to accept the 2007 budget amendments as presentedCarried unanimously.

Towsley offered and J. St. Clair supported the resolution to adopt the going out of business permit and fee per requirement of State Attorney General Office.

Ayes: Slucter, Towsley, J. St. Clair, Blair

Nays: Marsh, A. St. Clair, Kline

Absent: none

Adopted 4-3

Jerry Tolles talked about a location that had many going out of business sales and went on for years.

Ed Osmar asked about township land purchase and what can be done about the two strips of land that do not have ownership on Carol Lane.  Art St Clair will check with description office in Charlotte as to what can be done.

Kyle Hanton, Boy Scout Troop Leader, expressed concerns over political flyer he was handed at the parade and lack of paid for by printed on it.

James Glenn stated he was running for Township Treasurer and those were his handouts.  He was told by the Lions Club he could walk the streets and hand out campaign literature but no campaigning as part of the parade was allowed.

With no further business Slucter moved and Marsh seconded to adjourn the meeting.  Carried unanimously. Adjourned at 8:05 PM.
