WINDSOR CHARTER TOWNSHIP BOARD OF TRUSTEES

REGULAR MEETING – FEBRUARY 27, 2007

MEETING ROOM – 7:30 P.M.

 

Meeting was called to order by Supervisor St. Clair with the Pledge of Allegiance.

Present: A. St. Clair, Towsley, J. St. Clair, Blair, Kline, Marsh, Slucter

Absent: none

 

Towsley moved and Blair seconded to approve the agenda with the addition of airport resolution under New Business.  Carried unanimously.

 

J. St. Clair moved and Marsh seconded to approve the consent agenda for minutes of previous meeting.  Carried unanimously.

 

Sgt. Doug Burkhardt, Eaton County Sheriff Department, reported that we have had 65 calls in the past 11 days with 38 being traffic related.  Carried unanimously.

 

Blair gave report from Planning Commission, Sewer Board and Master Plan.

 

Miller gave report from Emergency Service Department.

 

J. St. Clair gave report from cemetery committee meeting.  J. St. Clair moved and Kline seconded to obtain signs for the four (4) cemeteries.  Carried unanimously.

 

J. St. Clair moved and Kline seconded to set Saturday grave opening fees as follows:

Full burial - $400; Cremation - $200; Child in Combination casket $230 effective April 1, 2007.  Carried unanimously.

 

J. St. Clair also reported that they are reviewing all of the rules and the next meeting will be April 24, 2007 at 6:00 PM.

 

Discussion held on PILT for Creyts Road property.

 

Blair moved and Marsh seconded to write a resolution supporting the other townships in Eaton County in opposition to a new airport.  Carried unanimously.

 

Sue Butler reported on the Board of Review Class she attended.

 

With no further business Marsh moved and Kline seconded to adjourn the meeting.  Carried unanimously.  Adjourned at 8:03 PM.
