WINDSOR CHARTER TOWNSHIP BOARD OF TRUSTEES

REGULAR MEETING – OCTOBER 10, 2006

MEETING ROOM – 7:30 P.M.

 

 

Meeting was called to order by Supervisor St. Clair with the Pledge of Allegiance.

Present: A. St. Clair, Towsley, J. St. Clair, Blair, Marsh, Slucter

Absent: Kline

 

Blair moved and Marsh seconded to approve the agenda as amended with the addition of minutes under New Business.  Carried unanimously.

 

Supervisor called the Public Hearing for the 2007 budgets to order at 7:33 PM. 

 

Cribley stated that the replacement schedule shows a new ambulance in 2008 so we need to plan for that. The approximate cost would be around $110000. 

 

No other public comments.

 

Public Hearing was closed at 7:42 PM.

 

Slucter moved and Marsh seconded to approve the consent agenda.  Carried unanimously.

 

Blair gave report from Planning Commission and Master Plan.

 

Sgt. Doug Burkhardt, Eaton County Sheriff Department, reported that we have had 79 calls in the past two weeks with 44 being traffic related.  Car/Deer accidents are up.

 

Blair gave report from Sewer Board.  Towsley moved and Slucter seconded to appoint Murray Marsh as our alternate to the sewer board.  Carried unanimously.

 

Cribley gave report from Emergency Service Department.  Slucter moved and Blair seconded to add Erin Adams to the on call roster.   Carried unanimously.

 

Blair reported that he had talked to Consumers and they can place a shield on the street light in Grand Pointe to direct the light away from the home.  This will be done as turning off the light leaves a very dark stretch in the subdivision.

 

Towsley offered and J. St. Clair supported the resolution to adopt the 2007 millage rate of 2.4.

Nays: none

Absent: Kline

Resolution adopted 6-0.

Resolution adopted 6-0.

 

Discussion held on the posting of unapproved minutes on the web site.

 

Sue Butler announced that there will be a Meet the Candidate Night on October 12th and that she has worked with the President of Windsor Estates to hold their own flu shot clinic.

 

With no further business J. St. Clair moved and Slucter seconded to adjourn the meeting.  Carried unanimously.  Adjourned at 8:20 PM.
