Meeting was called to order by Supervisor Art St. Clair with the Pledge of Allegiance.
Present: A. St. Clair, Towsley, J. St. Clair, Blair, Kline, Slucter
Absent: Marsh
Towsley moved and Blair seconded to approve the agenda as amended. Carried unanimously.
Slucter moved and J. St. Clair seconded to approve the consent agenda. Carried unanimously.
Det. Sgt. Kyle McPhee, Michigan State Police, publicly thanked the Windsor Charter Township Emergency Service Department and Eaton County Sheriff Department for all their help in locating the resident that had wandered from his home.
Blair gave report from sewer board and planning commission.
Discussion was held about upcoming topics for sewer board.
Sgt. Doug Burkhardt, Eaton County Sheriff Department, reported that we have 134 calls with 54 being traffic related in the past three weeks.
Cribley gave report from Emergency Service Department.
Slucter reported that the public safety committee was in support of the package for the emergency service department.
Slucter moved and Blair seconded to accept the 4 proposals for the emergency
service reorganization. Carried unanimously.
Clerk reported that the SOS proposal will not be on the November ballot.
Discussion held on street lights in the township. The following areas are looking for street light districts to be set up: Jacaranda # 3 and Morris Estates. Supervisor reported that Consumers Energy has stated they can turn the light off on Dupre but would not be able to remove the pole. Will be discussed at the next meeting.
Supervisor & Clerk described
the reorganization of the cemetery employees effective
Sue Butler announced the make up date for the Lions Chicken cookout is this Friday.
Also the dam work should begin
on Monday, 9/18. They are requesting
people to watch from the
Linda Keefe stated that they are asking Granger to possibly place trash containers on both sides of Canal.
