WINDSOR CHARTER TOWNSHIP BOARD OF TRUSTEES

REGULAR MEETING - JUNE 13, 2006

MEETING ROOM - 7:30 P.M.

 

 

Meeting was called to order by Supervisor St. Clair with the Pledge of Allegiance.

Present: A. St. Clair, Towsley, J. St. Clair, Blair, Kline, Marsh, Slucter

Absent: none

 

Minutes of previous meeting were read and approved.

 

Blair gave report from Planning Commission and Sewer Board.

 

Sgt. Doug Burkhardt, Eaton County Sheriff Department, reported that we have had 128 calls in the past 3 weeks with 71 being traffic related.

 

Cribley gave report from Emergency Service Department.  Slucter moved and Blair seconded to add Kendra Somes to the on call roster as a probationary EMT.  Carried unanimously.

 

Slucter gave report on Public Safety Committee meeting that was held on June 9th.  He stated that policies were reviewed and the committee touched on salaries but they were found not be relevant.  The committee determined that the policies are sound as being administrated and they would rather err on the side of caution rather than cutback. Several board members extended their appreciation to the departments for their dedication and service to the township.  Members of both the full time employees and on call were present and many gave support for the department, as it is being run and support of the Chief.

 

Treasurer's report received.

 

Marsh moved and Blair seconded to waive the reading of the bills.  Carried unanimously.

 

Slucter moved and Marsh seconded to pay general fund bills (vouchers 16565-16653 & 19304-19377) totaling $131184.08.  Carried unanimously.

 

Towsley offered and Blair supported the resolution for the division of platted lots in Hill n Hollow for 7 condo sites.

Ayes: Kline, Blair, J. St. Clair, A. St. Clair, Towsley, Marsh, Slucter

Nays: none

Absent: none

Resolution adopted 7-0

 

Towsley moved and Marsh seconded to appoint Jim Bredin to the vacant position on the Planning Commission to fill the term that expires November 20, 2006.  Carried unanimously.

 

Slucter moved and Kline seconded to send the letter from Susan Burns in regards to the cemetery to the cemetery committee.  Carried unanimously.

 

Susan Burns expressed her concerns over the cemetery.

 

With no further business J. St. Clair moved and Marsh seconded to adjourn.  Carried unanimously.  Adjourned at 7:55 PM
