WINDSOR CHARTER TOWNSHIP BOARD OF TRUSTEES

REGULAR MEETING - AUGUST 23, 2005

MEETING ROOM - 7:30 P.M.

 

 

Meeting was called to order by Supervisor St. Clair with the Pledge of Allegiance.

Present: A. St. Clair, Towsley, J. St.Clair, Blair, Butler, Kline, Slucter

Absent: none

 

Minutes of previous meeting were read and approved.

 

Sgt. Doug Burkhardt, Eaton County Sheriff Department, reported that we have had 70 calls in the past two weeks of which 27 were traffic related. 

 

Lt. Jeff Campbell, Eaton County Sheriff Department, gave us an up date on some of the projects being done in the township.

 

Det./Sgt. Kyle McPhee of MSP reported that they responded to 45 calls in the past month of which 9 were traffic. Some of these can be duplicate runs from the county if they went through 911.

 

Blair gave report from Planning Commission and Sewer Board.

 

Butler moved and Blair seconded to appoint Julie Kaloaz to the medic pool.  Carried unanimously.

 

Slucter moved and J. St. Clair seconded to table the appointment of the Assistant Fire Chief until a legal opinion is received on several issues.  Carried unanimously.

 

Discussed Board of Water & Light proposal on water.

 

Blair moved and Slucter seconded to approve the Planning Commission Recommendation to grant a Special Use Permit to Keith & Pat Lundberg and Kay Ardis to operate a Bed & Breakfast at 5102 Bailey Road as the finding of fact standards as required by the Zoning Ordinance have all been met.  Carried unanimously.

 

Discussed Offer to Purchase our property on Holt Road.  Kline moved and Butler seconded to decline the offer to purchase 25 acres from the township on Holt Road from Dimond Way LLC.  Carried unanimously.

 

With no further business Blair moved and J. St. Clair seconded to adjourn the meeting.  Carried unanimously.  Adjourned at 8:15 PM.
