WINDSOR CHARTER TOWNSHIP BOARD OF TRUSTEES

REGULAR MEETING - SEPTEMBER 14, 2004

MEETING ROOM - 7:30 P.M.

 

Meeting was called to order by Supervisor Arthur St. Clair with the Pledge of Allegiance.

Present: A. St. Clair, Towsley, J. St. Clair, Blair, Kline, Slucter

Absent: Butler

Minutes of previous meeting were read and approved.

Blair gave report from Planning Commission. They granted final site plan to Phase one of Windsor Homes on Creyts Road. Cribley will meet with developer and Board of Water & Light about fire hydrant placements and parking on the curves and on one side of the road.

Blair moved and Slucter seconded to accept the Planning Commission recommendation and grant final preliminary plat approval for Windsor Place on Billwood Highway. Denied 6-0 as the drawing is showing 8' side lots and it needs to show 10' as per the signed tentative preliminary plat approval.

Blair gave several dates for a visioning/strategic-planning workshop.

Towsley gave report from Sheriff Department. We have had 110 calls in the past 20 days and 60 were traffic related.

Towsley moved and J. St. Clair seconded to appoint Benjamin Lowe to paid on call EMS and Ben Watson to paid on call fire. Carried unanimously.

Treasurer report received.

Blair moved and Slucter seconded to pay general fund bills totaling $77104.07(vouchers 15188-15237 & 18230-18271) Carried unanimously.

Discussed our Carrier Creek Drain assessment of $63307.50.

Heard that Canadian National is submitting site plans for review for construction to begin in 2005 on their property.

Towsley moved and J. Clair seconded to untable the Verizon request. Carried unanimously. Towsley reported that we approved their application prior so this was a duplicate. No action needed.

Discussed the request from Eaton County for a Brownfield Resolution. Clerk will obtain more information for the next meeting.

Clerk shared a letter about the cemetery rule on benches. Towsley moved and Blair seconded to sent the letter to the Cemetery Committee. Carried unanimously.

With no further business Kline moved and Blair seconded to adjourn the meeting. Carried unanimously. Adjourned at 9:11 PM.
