WINDSOR CHARTER TOWNSHIP BOARD OF TRUSTEES

REGULAR MEETING - APRIL 13, 2004

MEETING ROOM - 7:30 P.M.

 

Meeting was called to order by Supervisor St. Clair with the Pledge of Allegiance.

Present: A. St. Clair, Towsley, J. St. Clair, Blair, Butler, Kline, Slucter

Absent: none

Minutes of previous meeting were read and approved.

Blair gave report from Planning Commission.

Clerk gave report from Sheriff Department. We had 155 calls in February and 129 calls in March. Sgt. Burkhardt will be our new liaison officer.

Clerk shared letter from the Presbyterian Church about recycling and thank you from Metro Narcotic unit.

Treasurer's report was received.

Butler moved and Blair seconded to pay general fund bills totaling $68252.85 (vouchers 14885-14939 & 17962-18008). Carried unanimously.

Supervisor read letter he sent to Mr. Geake in regards to Windsor Downs about the zoning of the property.

Towsley offered and J. St. Clair supported the resolution for the Ground Water Model.

Ayes: Slucter, Butler, Towsley, A. St. Clair, J. St. Clair, Blair, Kline

Nays: none

Absent: none

Resolution adopted 7-0.

Towsley moved and Blair seconded to untable the ordinances that were tabled for review. Carried unanimously.

Towsley moved and Slucter seconded to retable the ordinances as they are not ready for review at this time until May 11, 2004 meeting. Carried unanimously.

J. St Clair moved and Butler seconded to authorize the clerk to sign the Mylar for Jacaranda Estates # 2. Carried unanimously.

Blair moved and Slucter seconded to send the plat for Jacaranda Estates # 3 to the planning commission. Carried unanimously.

Towsley moved and Blair seconded to send the rezoning request for Kamphuis property to the planning commission. Carried unanimously.

The Kamphuis plat has some errors so it will be redone and resubmitted at a later date.

Towsley moved and Slucter seconded to send the rezoning request from Lenora Jadun to the planning commission. Carried unanimously.

J. St. Clair moved and Butler seconded to participate in the Memorial Day Parade as per request from the Lions Club. Carried unanimously.

Cribley gave report from the emergency service department.

Scott Ammarman asked that the planning commission be aware of the natural drainage on the Kamphuis property and how the fill that has been brought in is affecting the north side of Billwood Road.

Wendy Burton introduced herself as a resident of the township.

Undersheriff Michael Raines introduced himself as a candidate for Eaton County Sheriff.

With no further business Butler moved and J. St. Clair seconded to adjourn the meeting. Carried unanimously. Adjourned at 8:17 PM.
