WINDSOR CHARTER TOWNSHIP BOARD OF TRUSTEES
MAY 22, 2001 - REGULAR MEETING
MEETING ROOM - 7:30 P.M.

Meeting was called to order by Supervisor St. Clair with Pledge of Allegiance.
Present: A. St. Clair, Towsley, J. St. Clair, Blair, Butler, Kline, Marsh
Absent: none

Minutes of previous meeting were read and approved.

Heard reports from Planning Commission, Sewer Board and Sheriff Department.

Heard that we have gone over the 5,000 voting age population, so our new QVP [voting] equipment will be paid for by the State of Michigan.

Towsley moved and Marsh seconded to stay with Burnham & Flowers Agency for our workman compensation insurance. Carried unanimously.

Blair offered and J. St. Clair supported the first reading of the zoning ordinance changes for signs, site plan review and clerical changes.
Ayes: Marsh, Butler, Towsley, A. St. Clair, J. St. Clair, Blair, Kline
Nays: none
Resolution adopted 7-0.

Discussion held on sale of [old] township hall. Mr. Perkins would like to make payments over 90 days and start construction during that time period. Board feels that payment should be in full prior to construction starting.

Discussion held on Medical Management recommendations for rate increases. There is some confusion over what the letter really states, so Director Cribley will contact them.

Westland Park was postponed until the next meeting.

Heard that Planning Commission will be holding a public hearing on June 13th for some changes in the cell tower ordinance.

Butler moved and Kline seconded to accept the 2000 budget amendments as presented. Carried unanimously.

Marsh thanked the committee and Fire Chief for the good job they did on the purchase of the new tanker. We will now advertise to sell the old tanker.

With no further business Marsh moved and J. St. Clair seconded to adjourn the meeting. Carried unanimously. Adjourned at 8:28 PM
