WINDSOR CHARTER TOWNSHIP PLANNING COMMISSION

REGULAR MEETING – JULY 9, 2008

MEETING ROOM – 7:00 P.M.

Meeting was called to order by Chairperson Dave Kubicek.

Present: Kubicek, Borucki, Blair, Bredin, Burton, Johnson, Pray

Absent: none

No public present.

Minutes of previous meeting were approved as printed.

Blair gave report from Township Board and Master Plan.

Pray reported that the disc from class are ready.

Borucki handed out copies of proposed Planning Commission Ordinance and by laws.

DEVINE REZONING REQUEST:

Mr. Klein, representing Beck and Fisher, stated that they want B-2 (Commercial) zoning for 9.07 acres located on Strobel Lane. They want to open a propane distribution center for south Lansing.   In the future they may start working on trailers there as they do in St. Johns.

He shared drawings of the proposed buildings.  They will tear the house down and probably use the barn.  There will be asphalt around the buildings and gravel elsewhere.  This will be sales only and no repairs.

Trucks would be in to fill for propane and depending on the season how many trips and the size of the trucks.

There are no DEQ requirements.

Blair moved and Borucki seconded to set the Public Hearing for the rezoning request for Wednesday, August 20^th at 7:00 PM. Carried unanimously.

Blair moved and Borucki seconded to move the August meeting from the 13^th to the 20^th.  Carried unanimously.

Will review zoning classes at the next meeting.

Dave Kubicek announced that this would be his last meeting as he is resigning from the Planning Commission due to a move. Everyone was sorry to hear he would be leaving.

With no further business Borucki moved and Johnson seconded to adjourn the meeting.  Carried unanimously.  Adjourned at 8:27 PM.
