WINDSOR CHARTER TOWNSHIP PLANNING COMMISSION

REGULAR MEETING - FEBRUARY 8, 2006

MEETING ROOM - 7:00 P.M.

 

 

Meeting was called to order by Vice Chairperson Rick Borucki.

Present: Borucki, Blair, Burton, Johnson, Marsh, Pray

Absent: Kubicek

Also present: Jim Foulds and Vern Fountain, CPS

 

No public comments.

 

Minutes of previous meeting were approved as amended.

 

Blair gave report from Board of Trustees.

 

DIMOND WAY LLC, REZONING REQUEST:

 

Dan McCabe, representing Dimond Way LLC, presented a letter asking to either table or withdraw his request.  Jim Foulds stated that the applicant must determine which he wants.  To table would require action by the commission or to withdraw would not take any action.

 

Mr. McCabe asked that the request be withdrawn.

 

COMPREHENSIVE LAND USE PLAN:

 

Mr. Foulds reviewed his recommendation that the plan for the entire township be reviewed and that we do it with the village as original plan was done that way.  This will be in compliance with the state law timeline.  He suggested that a sub committee be the main working group, as other items will continue at the Planning Commission level.

 

Blair moved and Marsh seconded that based on Jim Foulds' recommendation we establish a sub committee of the Planning Commission to meet with the Dimondale Planning Commission to start the process of reviewing the Comprehensive Use Plan.  Carried unanimously.

 

The committee will consist of either chair or vice chair plus Dan Blair and Todd Burton.  Other members are always welcome to participate.

 

The first meeting will be Friday, Marsh 3, 2006 in the Township Meeting Room at 3:00 PM.

 

ZONING CHANGES:

 

Clerk handed out copies of the items that are ready for Public Hearing.

 

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

 

Borucki shared that there is a leadership class on March 27^th. He will be attending if anyone else wishes to go with him. 

 

TRAINING - PART III:

 

Jim Foulds continued with the training for the Planning Commission.

 

With no further business Marsh moved and Johnson seconded to adjourn the meeting.  Carried unanimously.  Adjourned at 8:22 PM.
