WINDSOR CHARTER TOWNSHIP PLANNING COMMISSION
REGULAR MEETING - APRIL 13, 2005
MEETING ROOM - 7:00 P.M.
Meeting was called to order by Chairperson Martinez.
Present: Martinez, Blair, Kubicek, Marsh, Pray, Johnson and Borucki
Also present: Jim Foulds & Vern Fountain, CPS
Minutes of previous meeting were read and approved.
Blair gave report from Township Board.
Kubicek reported that Board of Appeals did not have a meeting.
ZONING CHANGES:
Foulds reported that he had meet with the Township Attorney and that due to changes in the State of Michigan enabling statues for subdivision control, that futher revisions have been made and that it will be on the agenda for next month as well as the special use permit changes.
Foulds also reported that he and Fountain are in the process of reviewing a site plan for a 12 unit site condo development on Nixon road being developed by Bruce Brown and Landmark Construction. Changes are being made to the plan and it will be forwarded to the Planning Commission when the final site plan is ready.
REGAN REZONING:
The rezoning request made by Tom Regan and Mike Chapman for the property located at 8454 Billwood, next to the State Employees Credit Union, was discussed. The 6 acre parcel is currently zoned A-1(AG) and the proposal is a change to B-2(Comm). Chapman wishes to construct multiple contractor type warehouse buildings on the site.
Borucki moved and Pray seconded to set the public hearing for the Regan rezoning request for 7:00 PM, May 11, 2005, pending the ability of enough time to do proper notice. Carried unanimously.
CUMBERWORTH SPECIAL USE PERMIT:
A Special Use Permit requested by Dorothy Cumberworth and MacDonald Broadcasting to allow construction of a 5 tower antenna system on 20 acres at 3591 Smith Road was discussed. Each tower would be under 200 feet and have no lighting. A small utility building would also be constructed.
Kubicek moved and Borucki seconded to set the public hearing for the Cumberworth SUP request for 7:00 PM, May 11, 2005, following the public hearing on the Reagan rezoning request, pending the ability of enough time to do proper notice. Carried unanimously.
OTHER BUSINESS:
Martinez shared an update on plans for Vision Planning scheduled for April 16th.
A new plan for the horse racing facility proposed by Dorian Lange may be submitted soon. It will not include any gambling.
Planning Commission Training will be rescheduled.
With no further business Kubicek moved and Johnson seconded to adjourn the meeting. Carried unanimously. Adjourned at 7:45 PM.
