WINDSOR CHARTER TOWNSHIP PLANNING COMMISSION
REGULAR MEETING - DECEMBER 12, 2001
MEETING ROOM - 7:00 P.M.

Meeting was called to order by Vice Chairperson Inge Kyler.
Present: Kyler, Blair, Hall, Slucter, Burnett, Martinez, Kubicek
Absent: none.
Also present: Jim Foulds, Vern Fountain

Introductions and Welcome to two new members.

Amended the agenda.

No public comments.

Slucter moved and Martinez seconded to approve the minutes. Carried unanimously.

Blair gave Township Board report.

Hall gave report on meeting in Grand Ledge with Tri-County, which concentrated on transportation. He reported that there would be a third [Town Forum] meeting in the Spring.

KARES CONSTRUCTION:

Gerald Whiting made his presentation on the site plan for new construction on Lansing Road for Kares Construction. Mr. Foulds reported that they do not have final county approvals but okay to grant approval. Would be good for the Emergency Service Departments to review the plan. Any additional buildings would have to have Planning Commission approval. They have acceptable septic site and soil borings were done today and they have submitted the plans to the drain commissioner.

Slucter moved and Hall seconded to grant final site plan [approval] to Kares Construction with recommendations from Foulds. Carried unanimously.

LANSING POURED WALLS:

They are adding a 40 x 40 addition for storage. There will be no outside access or no additional people. Slucter moved and Martinez seconded to approve the site plan. Carried unanimously.

(Note: conflict in zoning ordinances; site plan ordinance says zoning officer can approve if under 10 additional parking spaces, but [another] zoning ordinance says all M-1 & M-2 must be approved [by Planning Commission].)

SCHULTZ:

As this will not add a large number of parking spaces the zoning officer can approve.

Discussion held about new [Planning Commission] officers for 2002. Will be elected in January.

LANDSCAPING & BUFFERS:

Discussed the new proposed zoning [ordinance]. Several areas of concern. Watch areas as you drive around the area. Will discuss in January.

With no further business Martinez moved and Hall second to adjourn the meeting. Carried unanimously. Adjourned at 8:39 PM.
