WINDSOR CHARTER TOWNSHIP PLANNING COMMISSION
REGULAR MEETING - NOVEMBER 14, 2001
MEETING ROOM - 7:00 P.M.

Meeting was called to order by Vice Chairperson Kyler.
Present: Kyler, Blair, Hall, Martinez, Slucter
Absent: Baker, Slee
Also present: Jim Foulds

No public present.

Slucter moved and Martinez seconded to approve the October minutes as printed. Carried unanimously.

Martinez gave a thank you and appreciation to outgoing members Dick Slee and Will Baker. They have given so much to the group and will be missed.

Blair gave update from Board of Trustees.

Heard update on Tri-County Planning meeting and heard that next forum will be December 4th at Grand Ledge High School.

Heard that Village of Dimondale has sent back a contract to Board of Water & Light so they may soon have a settlement on the park and adjoining land.

Master Plan group is still working and has a few minor changes to be made. Kyler will join this group with the departure of Slee.

Tom Dobie, Dennis Kares and John Ferguson presented their site plan for a Lansing Road build. They are outgrowing their building in Delta Charter Township. Their project will be around a half million dollars. They have a letter in the mail to the health department. Slucter moved and Martinez seconded to approve the final preliminary site plan. Carried unanimously.

Jacaranda #2 presented their plat for review. Sidewalks will be on one side only. Martinez moved and Slucter seconded to recommend to township board to grant final preliminary plat approval. Carried unanimously.

Slucter shared with the commission a piece of land owned by MDOT in Windsor Charter Township that is going to be auctioned in December. They show it as M-1 and only 2 of the 18 plus acres are M-1. The balance is A-1. The current and changed land [use] plan shows this entire area as A-1. There also is a landlocked piece that is M-1. Both of these should be changed to A-1. Slucter moved and Martinez seconded to recommend to the township board to initiate a rezoning change of these two parcels. Carried unanimously.

Foulds presented a new landscape proposal. Review for the next meeting. Does not include front yards.

Hall stated he would like to review the cell tower ordinance again. Suggested this be added to the priority list of the commission.

With no further business Martinez moved and Blair second to adjourn the meeting. Carried unanimously. Adjourned at 8:28 PM.
