Chairperson Dick Slee called the public hearing for zoning ordinance changes to order.
Members present: Dick Slee, Dan Blair, Kern Slucter, John Hall, Arnoldo Martinez
Absent: Inge Kyler, Will Baker
Also present: Vern Fountain, Jim Foulds

SITE PLAN:

Jim Foulds explained that the purpose for the new proposed Article 9 is to include all site plan rules and regulations in one area. Currently they are spread all over the ordinance.

SIGNS:

Jim Foulds explained that the purpose for the new Proposed Article 6 would be to upgrade the current sign section and make it more comprehensive.

CLERICAL SECTIONS:

This list contains changes that need to be made to the current ordinances to make it conform to the changes listed for [proposed] Articles 6 & 9. Section 6.2.5 should also be taken out.

There was only one member of the public present and he had no comments.

Public Hearing closed at 7:15 PM.

REGULAR MEETING:

The regular meeting was called to order.

Minutes of previous meeting were approved.

No public comments.

CODE ENFORCEMENT COMMITTEE:

Arnoldo reported that his committee has met once and the goal of that meeting was to make sure that everyone was headed in the same direction. They will be checking with our neighboring communities on how they enforce their zoning ordinances. They will make another report by the February meeting.

PUBLIC HEARING REVIEW:

Slucter moved and Martinez seconded to send the zoning ordinance changes of Site Plan Review, Signs and the clerical corrections to the Township Board. Carried unanimously.

PUDs:

Some discussion was held on the PUD [Planned Unit Development] ordinance that was presented at the last meeting. Discussion followed on sizes, etc.

With no further business Slucter moved and Hall second to adjourn the meeting. Carried unanimously. Adjourned at 7:54 PM.
