WINDSOR CHARTER TOWNSHIP PLANNING COMMISSION

REGULAR MEETING - SEPTEMBER 13, 2000

MEETING ROOM - 7:00 P.M.

Meeting was called to order by Chairperson Dick Slee.

Present: Slee, Kyler, Blair, Hall

Absent: Baker, Martinez, Slucter

Also present: Jim Foulds, Vern Fountain, AGS

No public present.

Minutes of previous meeting approved as printed.

Blair reported on activities with the township board.

Hall reported on I-69 study group meeting he attended. They are going to update and expand the 1991 study.

KAMPHUIS REZONING REOUEST:

Dennis Forsberg and Dan Kamphuis presented their request to rezone from B-1 to M-1 37.88 acres at Canal and Billwood. They are planning a 3-5' buffer on the east side as they are still planning on developing the manufactured housing park. The plan is for one detention pond on the site. They do not wish high industrial because of the proposed park next door. They really want light industrial.

Blair moved and Kyler seconded to table the request until the light industrial zoning class has been approved per the applicant request. Carried unanimously.

Reviewed the changes that are ready for public hearing.

Fountain reported that Eaton County Animal Control does have an ordinance and if we adopt anything more restrictive we have to enforce.

Foulds has met with Pat Smith of the county and the maps are ready to be picked up.

Future areas for zoning to be discussed:

                                 Signs

                                 Bed & Breakfast

                                 PRD/PUD

                                 Site plan review

Kyler moved and Blair seconded to set the public hearing for the changes to the zoning ordinance for October 11 2000 at 7:00 PM. Carried unanimously.

With no further business Kyler moved and Hall seconded to adjourn the meeting. Carried unanimously. Adjourned at 8:16 PM.
