Library Board Minutes
November 20, 2008
President Linda Conklin called the meeting to order at 7:00PM
Present –Watson, Snyder, Conklin, Febba, Freeman, Borucki and Librarian Slee
Absent – none
First order of business was the swearing in of the Library Board Members. This was done by Township Clerk Linda Towsley. Then each member signed the oath.
Election of officers – Conklin nominated, Snyder seconded Febba for President with no objections.
Snyder nominated, Borucki seconded Conklin for Vice President with no objections. Febba nominated, Snyder seconded Watson for Secretary with no objections.
September minutes read aloud. Borucki moved and Conklin seconded that the minutes be approved. Passed 6-0.
Financial reports for Sept and October were presented – Watson moved and Borucki seconded the motion to approve pending audit. Passed 6-0.

Librarian Slee reported a donation from Nancy and Jack Hoover. Also from Mrs. DeYoung in the memory of her husband.
In the memory of Lucy Williams the Swap a Plant club and Cheryl Spalding donated money. The Dimondale Home Culture Club donated 3 books in her memory.
164 families are signed up to use the library, up from 145 families in 2007.

Deb Albert asked about reciprocity with the Holt library. Sam explained the difference between their CADL library and our Township library.
Kathy Daniels asked a question about the statistics.
Conklin moved and Borucki seconded the motion to adjourn. Passed 6-0 and meeting adjourned at 7:25PM.
