The Woodlands Library Cooperative has invited our library to appoint a representative. This would involve attendance at meetings in Albion, MI every other month for 3 years. No one chooses to take this on, in light of the cost of gasoline and personal commitments. A motion was made by Conklin and seconded by Snyder and passed 6-0 to decline the invitation. Watson will send a letter to the Cooperative to inform them.
The Circulation policy was amended to reflect two changes. Delete the line “Books obtained from the InterLoan system are subject to the same rules.” Since we no longer have the InterLoan system this line is not relevant.
And delete the line “ If the late fee is not paid upon return of the item, a $5 processing fee will be assessed for each late item in addition to the late fees due.” And delete the portion of the next to last line which reads “and processing fees”. The changes are a result of the automation system not being able to process the $5 fee. House made the motion and Febba seconded the motion. Passed 6-0.
A motion was made by Febba and seconded by House to allow the posters and pamphlets for “The Run and Walk for the Animals”. Passed 6-0
House moved and Febba seconded the motion to adjourn. Passed 6-0 and meeting adjourned at 7:15PM.
Respectfully submitted,
Shirley Watson, Secretary
