Library Board Minutes

January 17, 2008

President Linda Conklin called the meeting to order at 8:00PM

Present –Watson, Snyder, Perry, Conklin, and Librarian Slee

Excused –House and Febba

No Public Comment.

September  minutes read silently, no additions or corrections. Perry moved and Snyder seconded that the minutes be approved. Passed 4-0

Financial reports for September, October, November and December 2007 were presented – Snyder moved and Perry seconded the motion to approve pending audit. Passed 4-0

Librarian Slee reported  the we received donations of $585 to the library .

$1984 was reimbursed to us from monies left over due to the Co-op closing.

A new computer was received from the grant and an offer was made for the same computer to be purchased for $950. Librarian Slee made the purchase. The grant computer is for public use and the purchased computer for office use.

A spruce tree was planted on library property in the memory of Lloyd DeYoung by the 1961 class of Dimondale.

The State aid report was sent in by Librarian Slee.

A motion was made by Watson and seconded by Perry – passed 4-0 -  to amend the budget. $3700 moved from contingency. $3350 into miscellaneous and $350 into supplies.

The library policies were reviewed by members present. Motion made by Snyder and seconded by Perry to leave the policies as they stand. Motion passed 4-0.

Perry moved and Snyder seconded the motion to adjourn. Passed 4-0 and meeting adjourned at 8:20PM.
